Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

TRY Health LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the TRY Fitness mobile application ("App"), a subscription-based fitness tracking platform that also lets independent coaches work with their own clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the App:

Account InformationEmail address, display name, and authentication credentials (managed via Supabase Auth).
Profile & Body DataAge, gender, height, weight, body fat percentage, and fitness goals — used to personalize your experience and AI recommendations.
Workout & Fitness DataExercise logs, sets, reps, weights, workout templates, training history, and personal records.
Nutrition DataFood logs, calorie and macro tracking data, and any text or images submitted to AI nutrition features.
Apple Health & Apple Watch Data (iOS, optional)If you connect Apple Health or work out with the TRY Apple Watch app, we read health data only with your permission through Apple's HealthKit framework: your step counts, sleep, resting heart rate and heart-rate variability, body weight, active calories, and your heart rate during workouts (from your Apple Watch or any wearable that writes to Apple Health). Daily totals of those readings are stored in your account so the app can track your habits, show trends to a coach you have connected with, and — if you opt into a step-based commitment — count step days for your accountability group, whose members can see your daily step totals for that week. A workout's heart-rate summary (average and peak heart rate, active calories) is stored with that workout and appears on it wherever you choose to share it. The watch app saves your workouts to Apple Health so they count toward your Activity rings. Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold or shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app (Sharing → Apps).
Subscription & Purchase DataSubscription status, plan type, and transaction identifiers (managed via RevenueCat; we do not store credit card numbers or payment details).
Device & Usage InformationDevice type, operating system, app version, IP address, and general usage analytics.
Program Analyzer SubmissionsWhen you use the free Program Analyzer on our website, we store the structured version of the program you submit (exercises, sets, and reps) together with its analysis results and your selected goal, to operate the feature and improve its accuracy. The original text you paste is not stored, and submissions are not linked to your identity unless you sign up and claim the analysis. A one-way hash of your IP address is kept briefly for rate limiting.

We do not sell your personal data.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Below is a summary of these services and their roles:

SupabaseProvides authentication (login/signup), database hosting, and real-time data sync. Your account data and fitness logs are stored securely on Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) policies that keep your data private by default. The only exception is data you choose to share with a coach — see "Sharing With Your Coach" below.
RevenueCatManages in-app subscriptions and purchase verification across iOS and Android. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user ID and subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store & Google PlayHandle payment processing for subscriptions. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment information. Payments are governed by Apple's and Google's terms and privacy policies.
StripeProcesses coach subscription payments for the Coach tier (web), Pro subscriptions bought on the web, and Accountability Group commitment deposits and their refunds. Billing details are handled by Stripe; we do not store card or bank account numbers. Subscriptions bought in the app are handled by the app store / RevenueCat. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
ResendDelivers our emails, of two kinds. Account emails are part of providing the service and cannot be switched off — coach invitations, notices that a coach has added you, billing, and anything about your account or your money. Training emails are optional: occasional notes tied to where you are in your training, such as getting your first session going or picking things back up after a break. Resend processes the recipient's email address and message content solely to send these on our behalf. Every training email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can change your choices at any time at tryhealth.io/unsubscribe. Turning training emails off never affects account emails. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini (AI)Used for AI-powered workout generation and nutrition logging. Text prompts you submit (e.g., food descriptions, workout preferences) are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. See Google AI Privacy.
OpenAIMay be used as an alternative AI provider for nutrition and workout features. Prompts submitted to AI features may be processed by OpenAI's API. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
Sentry (Error Monitoring)Records crashes and errors so we can find and fix breakage that would otherwise be invisible to us. When something goes wrong it receives the error message and technical stack trace, the part of the App it happened in, your device type, operating system and app version, and a short trail of the immediately preceding app events — such as screen navigation and sign-in or sign-out activity — so the failure can be reproduced. It also receives counts describing how AI program generation performed, for example how many training days were requested versus delivered; those are numbers and labels only, never your text. Reports are linked to your account ID and nothing else about you: we do not send Sentry your email address, name, or profile, and we configure it not to attach your IP address, cookies, or request headers. Network request contents and console logs are stripped before sending, and there is no session recording — Sentry does not see your screen, and we do not send it your workout, nutrition, body-metric, or progress-photo records. One limit worth stating plainly: an error's own message can incidentally contain a value that was involved in the failure. Diagnostic data is retained for up to 90 days. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics (Website)Counts visits to our public website (tryhealth.io) so we can see which pages people actually find useful. It is cookieless: it records the page address, the referring link, and general browser and device type, and it does not follow you to other websites or build a profile of you. It is not used inside the App. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Meta Pixel (Website Advertising)Used only on our public website (tryhealth.io) and never inside the App. When we advertise on Instagram or Facebook, the pixel reports back which of our pages a visitor reached and whether they finished a free Program Analyzer report, so we can tell which ads are worth paying for and stop the ones that aren't. To do that it sets a cookie and sends Meta your IP address, browser user-agent, and the address of the page you are viewing, which Meta may match to a Meta account. It never receives your name, email address, workouts, nutrition logs, body metrics, or progress photos — and the program text you paste into the Analyzer is never sent to it. It does not load at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or if your device is set to a European time zone. You can further limit ad targeting in your Meta account's Ad Preferences. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

3. Sharing With Your Coach

TRY Fitness offers an optional Coach feature. If a coach adds you and you do not revoke the link, you authorize us to share your personal data with that coach, and you grant the coach the ability to view and manage it.

The data shared with a linked coach includes:

This sharing occurs only while an active coach link exists. You can revoke a coach's access at any time from your Profile, which immediately ends their ability to view or manage your data going forward. Coaches are independent third parties — not TRY Health LLC — and you are responsible for choosing who coaches you. We share this data solely to provide the coaching service you have authorized, and we do not sell it. Because a Coach is an independent third party, when a Coach accesses your data the Coach acts as an independent controller of that data and is responsible for their own compliance with applicable data-protection laws; TRY Health LLC is not responsible for how a Coach handles your data outside the App. When you revoke a Coach's access, the Coach must stop using your data and must not keep copies outside the App.

4. Log Data & Device Information

When you use our App, in the event of an error or for analytical purposes, we may collect Log Data. This may include your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App, the time and date of your use, and other diagnostic statistics. This data is used solely to improve App stability and performance.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. Specifically:

6. Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, you can use the in-app features or contact us at support@tryhealth.io.

7. Children's Privacy

TRY Fitness is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@tryhealth.io. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. GDPR Rights (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

Our legal basis for processing your data includes: performance of a contract (providing the App's services), your consent (for AI features and optional data collection), and legitimate interests (improving and securing the App). To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tryhealth.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. CCPA/CPRA Rights (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tryhealth.io or use the in-app account deletion feature. We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days.

10. Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, and we employ commercially reasonable measures to protect it, including:

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
